CCTV & Security in Essex.

Discreet modern camera systems, Ring and video doorbells, smart alerts. Cabled properly, terminated neatly, the app actually set up before we leave.

What’s involved

A typical home install starts with a site walk-around: we agree the camera positions with you, point out the angles that matter (and the ones that don’t), and decide whether to run cables inside through the loft or externally clipped to a chase. Then it’s the mounting, the cabling, the recorder or cloud setup, and finally the app on your phone, configured so live view, alerts, and recordings are all working before we pack the tools away.

How long it takes

Single doorbell or floodlight cam: usually 1 to 2 hours. Four-camera house system with NVR: most of a day. Larger commercial or multi-building installs: we’ll quote with a timeline.

How we quote

Cost depends on the number of cameras, the brand and resolution you want, cable runs, and whether we’re starting fresh or extending an existing system. After a quick walk-around, in person or via video call, you get a fixed-price quote in writing. No surprises on the day.

What you get

  • Cameras positioned for the angles that actually matter to you.
  • PoE/wired install where possible, fewer batteries to change, fewer dropouts.
  • NVR or cloud recording set up and tested.
  • App configured on your phone, alerts tuned so they’re useful rather than annoying.
  • Tidy cable runs, no taped joints, no surface trunking unless you ask for it.
  • A walk-through of how to view recordings, share access with family, and adjust the system.

Equipment we install

Hikvision, Reolink, Ring, Eufy, Ubiquiti for serious setups. We’re not tied to one brand, we’ll recommend based on what you actually need (resolution, low-light, smart-home integration, monthly fees vs. one-off cost) rather than what we’ve got on the shelf.

Frequently asked

How many cameras do I need?

For a typical 3-bed semi, 3 to 4 cameras usually covers it: front, back, driveway, and one for any blind side. We walk the property with you, point out the angles that matter, and quote accordingly. No upselling.

Wired or wireless?

Wired (PoE) cameras are more reliable, sharper, and don’t need batteries. We’ll always recommend wired where possible. Wireless cameras have a place, usually for one-off spots that are awkward to cable to, but a full wireless system is more compromise than people realise.

Do I need to think about GDPR?

If your cameras only see your own property, no. If they capture a public footpath, a neighbour’s garden, or a shared driveway, yes, there are rules about signage and recording. We’ll set the camera angles to keep you on the right side of it.

Can you install Ring doorbells and floodlight cams?

Yes. Ring products are popular and often look easy on YouTube but really should be installed by a qualified electrician, they need a proper supply, weather sealing, and the app set up correctly. We do these as one-off jobs or alongside larger installs.

Will you set up the app on my phone?

Yes. Before we leave you’ll have it working on at least one phone, with a quick walk-through of how to view live, scrub through history, and turn alerts on and off. Most people stop using their CCTV because the app’s annoying, we make sure that doesn’t happen.
